Am I the villain?
Being the one who wants to end the relationship makes you feel like the villain. But are you? You’re thinking about the other person, about the fact that you’re not able to give them the kind of love they deserve. You could stay, cause it’s comfortable, known, steady - but if you’re not happy, if something doesn’t feel right, you’ve got this gut feeling that this just isn’t it - why should you stay? Doesn’t staying cause more harm eventually? Thinking about leaving feels wrong, like you’re giving up. Looking back at the years that you’ve been together, some might say it’s been a waste of time - others say it’s too long to simply ‘throw away’. But shouldn’t you be happy too? The idea of leaving is getting more and more comforting, less dangerous and more needed. But it’s still a scary thought.
Just me, a cup of coffee, and a thought I can’t shake.
What’s yours?
